[column size=third position=first ][/column] [column size=two-third position=last ]Maria started her insurance career as a graduate account handler in Professional Indemnity at Dickson Manchester & Company Ltd in 1996. She moved to Wren in Cheltenham (which became Brit) in an underwriting capacity in 1998 and then subsequently moved back to the City in 2001 to work at Markel International as a PI Underwriter across all professions.

Maria gained considerable experience in all classes of PI business in her 12 years at Markel, writing both within the service company and on subscription lines on London Market risks. She developed strong relationships with both high street and London Market brokers.

Maria joined the underwriting team at Manchester Underwriting Management in February 2018.
